Are you here looking for some Rogue Builds?  One of the most frustrating things to have to deal with when looking for the best rogue builds out there is sifting through all the junkie builds in order to find the cream of the crop…We don’t need 20 different builds listed out for us, we only need to see the BEST builds.

After a lot of frustration on my part, I was finally able to find the best rogue builds for leveling a rogue as well as the best PVP rogue build to go with as well…

For the time being, lets have a look at the best Rogue leveling build you can go with which is a heavy Assassination build with Mutilate (51/13/7):

Now if you want to transition over to Arena to do some PVP, you’ll need to swich over to a Mutilate Build with Dual Wield Specialization (41/5/25):

Now even after researching all the best rogue builds and putting the first of the above builds to work, I found that the leveling process wasn’t going quite as I had hoped…

I was leveling WAY too slow!

I couldn’t understand it, I had spent so much time figuring out the best rogue builds for leveling and here I was getting bored at only level 15.

So I asked a friend of mine in my guild who is known to power level what he does.  When he asked what I had been doing thus far, he basically stopped short of calling me a noob for not getting a proper rogue leveling guide.  He mentioned that he had been using the Zygor Leveling guide for not just his rogue, but his other classes and then told me I’m wasting my time if I’m not using something like this O_o.

Once I had checked it out, I realized that this was not a book but an in-game add-on.  What it does is place a giant green arrow in front of your rogue which guides you to the next quest to take, the next group of monsters to kill and when and where to turn in your quests.  By following what you’re told you will automatically be leveling up at the optimized rate.

You also see a dialogue box while doing this which shows you in detail what you are to do next, for example:

Kill 15 Bloodspore Harvesters in the Borean Tundra for “Vermin Extermination” at (35,12)
Obtain 10 Tempest Motes from Enraged Tempests for “Motes of the Enraged” at (35,52)
Turn in the “Vermin Extermination” Quest to Scout Tungok

Now after I had used this in combination with the first of the above rogue builds, I noticed my leveling speed go up quite noticeably…however like with everything, it wasn’t perfect..

CONS:

  • They at one time had the guide in HTML format so you could see it outside of the game, they’ve since removed this though.
  • It would be good if they provided more videos showing how to do the hardest quests, as well as more class specific leveling information.

PROS:

  • You get a Map Mod here as well which loads on your mini-map and shows you visually what to do next.
  • You also have the trusty green arrow to follow, which makes leveling quite easy.
  • This is not considered a hack or a cheat by Blizzard.
  • This is not just a rogue leveling guide but a guide for all classes.
  • You get access to a member’s only forum and free updates to the software for life.

Final Thoughts:

If you’re unsuccessful with the above rogue builds alone, and you’re getting frustrated leveling a rogue, you may want to look into this guide.

I’ve been using it for several of my other characters, each time it’s taken me between 7-10 in-game days to reach level 80, it’s let me play character classes I otherwise wouldn’t have time for, which is pretty cool.
